Deputy prime minister and Foreign Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci will stay on a two day official visit to Tirana.
This is his first visit as Foreign Minister of Kosovo.
“I’m happy that my first visit in this new government term is in the Republic of Albania. Among other important issues which will be discussed during the numerous meetings, a special importance will also be paid to the second meeting between our two governments”, declared Thaci.
The first meeting was held with Foreign Minister of Albania, Ditmir Bushati, while in the afternoon, Thaci will be honored by the University of Tirana with the title “Honoris Causa”.
After this ceremony, Foreign Minister of Kosovo will meet with the Albanian speaker of parliament, Ilir Meta and then with PM Edi Rama.
Following the meeting with Rama, Thaci will also meet with the president of the Republic, Bujar Nishani. Today’s agenda closes with a meeting with the DP leader, Lulzim Basha and former PM Sali Berisha.
Hashim Thaci will stay in Tirana until Tuesday, where he will also participate in the Forum organized by the Institute for International Relations. /ibna/
