North Macedonian Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Dimitrov, during the Summit organized by the World Economic Forum in Geneva, had a meeting with his Greek counterpart Nikos Dendias.
During the meeting views were exchanged on the latest developments in their bilateral relations, the situation in the region and the European perspective of North Macedonia, following the latest European Council, as IBNA reported yesterday.
Nikola Dimitrov, as the statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs notes, expressed his satisfaction with the ongoing cooperation with Greece and the country’s commitment to launch accession talks between North Macedonia and the European Union. In this context, he underlined that he expects Greece would continue to be a strong supporter and advocate for the country’s EU accession.
The two ministers agreed on the prospects for progress in the political dialogue and the intensification of bilateral co-operation in all areas of mutual interest, with the further implementation of the Prespa Agreement.
Nikola Dimitrov is part of the North Macedonian delegation headed by Prime Minister Zoran Zaev at the World Economic Forum in Geneva on “Strategic Dialogue for the Western Balkans” /ibna
