At the end of the meeting of the democrat parliamentary group, the leader of Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha said that even before parliament is constituted, citizens face an archaic mentality, an attempt to breach the promises which have been made.
Basha said that the Socialist Party started the new legislature with the debate upon the constituting of the government, adding that this majority which when it was in opposition used to take up to 10 days, is denying to Albanian citizens today the legitimate right to hear what the new government proposes in its program.
“Those who have taken weeks to vote laws, today deny to the opposition the minimum time to be informed about the governing program, which up until now remains a great mystery. I call upon the speaker of parliament to keep his word and establish a new standard to improve the standard established up until now by giving to the opposition the time for a decent debate, otherwise this would be an unacceptable situation and we will take every measure in the quality of opposition”, said Basha. /ibna/
