Deadly storms in Romania, dangerous meteorological phenomena to continue

A 71-year-old woman died in Hunedoara, in southwestern Transylvania while several others have been temporarily evacuated in Neamt, Moldavia region as a result of the latest storms and floods in Romania.

The capital Bucharest was also severely affected by the intense weather phenomena, with meteorologists preparing the public for more that will come in the next period.

“Hundreds of courtyards, gardens and households have been flooded, while 50 trees have been put down in the past 24 hours, following heavy rains”, romaniajournal.com reports, adding that “92 code orange and code yellow alert for bad weather (torrential rains, thunder storms, strong wind and hail) have been issued on Tuesday night to Wednesday.”
