The leader of the European People’s Parties (EPP), Joseph Daul has issued a message for political parties in Skopje, demanding the voting of the Prespa agreement in Parliament. Meanwhile, VMRO-DPMNE is a member of EPP.
An important decision looms for the future of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia & the entire region within the EU & NATO. I remain disappointed by the opposition’s role in this process to date, constructive cooperation must prevail over boycott”, Daul wrote on Twitter.
Meanwhile, the EU Enlargement Commissioner, Johannes Hahn has also called for the constitutional amendments to be approved. Hahn has also issued warnings about the threats being made to opposition MPs who are willing to vote in favour of the country’s new name “North Macedonia”. /ibna/
