Pristina, May 6, 2013, by Tinka Kurti-The Prime Minister of Serbia, Ivica Dacic has declared that Serbia is being asked the implementation of the agreement of Brussels as a criteria to be granted the date for accession in the EU. Dacic declares that after holding talks with the president of Austria and Poland in Mathausen, “they were positive in supporting the European integration of Serbia, but such support can be given only after the implementation of the agreement reached in Brussels between Kosovo and Serbia”.
Dacic has quoted the EU diplomat by saying that after this, Serbia may obtain the date. “The head of the Austrian diplomacy has said that if Serbia starts the implementation of the agreement, it will be granted the date for the start of the negotiations for accession”, said Dacic.
A few days ago, Dacic declared that the agreement would be implemented, in spite of the objections of the Serbs in the north.
Meanwhile, the Parliament of Kosovo is yet to ratify the agreement reached in Brussels. In parliament, this agreement is being objected by Self Determination Movement and Movement for Unity, along with 5 opposition and majority MPs, who voted against during the first voting. /ibna/
