Cyprus MPs to attend OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Baku

According to an announcement by the Cyprus Parliament, three of the country’s MPs Sophoclis Fittis, Kyriakos Hadjiyiannis and Andreas Kafkalias are going to attend the 23rd OSCE Parliamentary Assembly to take place 28 June-2 July in Baku, Azerbaijan, which will be themed “Helsinki +40: Towards Human Security for All”.

The MPs of the Rebublic of Cyprus will attend the following three PA committees: the Political Affairs and Security Committee, the Economic Issues, Science, Technology and Environment Committee and the Committee on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Issues, where resolutions for relevant issues will be adopted.

Discussions will also be held on issues concerning the crisis in Ukraine, the situation in Afghanistan, the regional cooperation and efforts to tackle terrorism, migrant and refugees` rights, climate change and cultural heritage.
