
In October 2017, the Harmonized Price Index (HICP) increased by 0,4% when compared to October 2016, while compared to September of 2017 decreased by 0,6%. For the period January – October 2017 the HICP recorded an increase of 0,8% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
Compared to October 2016, the category Restaurant and Hotels (3,1%) had the largest positive change.
In comparison to HICP of September 2017, the largest decrease was recorded in Restaurant and Hotels (-4,8%) while the largest increase was monitored in Clothing and Footwear (6,4%).
For the period January-October 2017, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the largest change was noted in Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Other Fuels (7,0%).
As regards to the economic origin, the largest change was observed in Energy with an increase of 3,0% when compared to the index of October 2016./IBNA
