Cyprus: Gov’t decides the extension of the flight ban for 14 days

On Thursday, April 2, 2020, the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, Giannis Karousos, issued a decree regarding the continuation of the ban on flights from 12.00 p.m. Cyprus time of April 4, 2020 and for a period of 14 days, in the context of the measures to address the spread of COVID-19.

Under the decree, cargo flights, flights to the Republic of Cyprus without passengers, will be excluded from the ban, in order to transport people wishing to leave the Republic of Cyprus, and finally flights to and from Republic of Cyprus for humanitarian reasons or other individual flights for exceptional emergencies after securing a special permit from the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works./ibna
