Cyprus: Christodoulides spoke with the Ambassadors of the Middle East and the Gulf countries on the occasion of Ramadan

Today, (Tuesday) the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, had a teleconference with the Ambassadors of the countries of the Middle East and the Gulf on the occasion of the celebration of Ramadan.

During the teleconference, views were exchanged on various topical issues, in light of the prevailing situation and the new data emerging from the coronavirus pandemic at regional, European and international level.

Nikos Christodoulides reiterated, among other things, the importance that Cyprus attaches to the further deepening of its relations with the countries of the region, both at bilateral and multilateral levels. He also briefed on the European Union’s interest and practical contribution to its Southern Neighborhood, especially at the present time, assisting the efforts of various countries to address the short-term and long-term effects of the pandemic./ibna
