Today, Cypriot Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Christodoulides had a telephone conversation with his British counterpart, Dominic Raab.
In addition to the next steps in lifting the restrictive measures due to the coronavirus pandemic on tourism, their talks revolved around the UK’s decision on university tuition fees from 2021-2022, as it affects dozens of students from Cyprus studying in the UK.
Speaking to Sigma about the issue of tuition fees, Nikos Christodoulides said that it was agreed that the constructive dialogue and contact between them on this issue would continue.
Last Saturday, Nikos Christodoulides raised the same issue with the Undersecretary of State for European Neighborhood at the British Foreign Office, Wendy Morton. /ibna
