Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades will depart for Brussels on Wednesday to attend the work of the European Council, which will take place on December 10th and 11th.
Inter alia, the summit’s agenda includes the efforts to tackle the coronavirus pandemic, climate change, security, EU external relations, Southern Neighborhood issues and issues related to the EU’s relations with Turkey.
In the context of the Summit, the President of the Republic will brief the European Heads of State and Government on Turkey’s illegal actions in the fenced city of Famagusta and on the ongoing Turkish provocations in the EEZ of the Republic of Cyprus.
President Anastasiades, who will be accompanied by Government Spokesman Kyriakos I. Kousios, will return to Cyprus on the evening of December 11. /ibna
