The period from January to October of this year has seen a 30% rise of revenues compared to the same period a year ago.
According to the announcement of the Customs of Kosovo, revenues since January amounted to 702 million Euros, as opposed to 673 million Euros last year, or 30% more.
“Customs of Kosovo attributes this positive performance to several factors, such as successful reform of the customs administration, raise of awareness by businesses, more anti-corruption measures in place and assistance offered by the citizens in whistle blowing cases of contraband and corruption”, says the press statement of the Customs of Kosovo.
Until the end of the year, customs are expected to collect 900 million Euros, which represent the highest figure since the foundation of the customs. /ibna/
