The discussion on Serbia’s 2013 budget is becoming a subject of intense political controversy, as it enters its third day on Wednesday.
According to Tanjug News Agency, yesterday’s debate was marked by a dispute between the present government and the main opposition party, with the latter accusing Prime Minister, Ivica Dačić, of the poor economic situation in the country, large budget deficit and unemployment.
Serbia is struggling to normalize its fiscal and financial indexes, seeking a place inside the European Union. Serbian membership is expected between 2015 and 2020.
