Criticism over FinMin’s absence from the Parliament

Spokesman of Greece’s main opposition party “Coalition of the Radical Left”, Dimitris Papadimoulis, criticized strongly on Friday against the absence of Finance Minister, Yannis Stournaras, from the Parliament, where he was scheduled to answer to two interpellations made by the head of SYRIZA, Alexis Tsipras, and the parliamentary spokeswoman of the Communist Party (KKE), Aleka Papariga, concerning the new property tax.

According to sources close to Stournaras, Minister declared an impediment, stating he would not be able attend the Parliament’s plenary session.

“After the ‘disappearance’ of the hidden PM Samaras in the Parliament, it seems that we lost, by order of Samaras, the ‘czar’. They are afraid of the parliamentary scrutiny, the dialogue, the people”, Papadimoulis commented in one of his posts in Twitter.
