During the election campaign, Kosovo’s PM, Isa Mustafa said that if he were to be elected as head of the government, then his government would create 200 thousand jobs or more.
Meanwhile, today he admitted that this promise cannot be delivered in the circumstances that the country is in.
“We have not managed to employ 100 or 200 thousand people and nobody has said that we will be able to create this many jobs in the first term in office. We have brought here before you the budget amendments. I agree with the complaints that have been made, because it has been a budget which has been carried forward and at the end of the year, we have not been able to analyze all of its elements”, Mustafa declared.
Mustafa said that along with his government cabinet, he has made efforts to make several changes, but these changes to not meet all development ambitions.
Mustafa has also responded to the critics of the opposition, that accuses him of not keeping his promises. Mustafa said that the budget can be increased, but through tax rises which would impoverish the citizens.
“You may ask why the budget is not that big. The budget can go up if we increase taxes, but we may make the citizens poorer”, Mustafa said. /ibna/
