Court of Appeal in Kosovo has turned down the request of 28 terrorist suspects to lift the Court of First Instance of Pristina’s ruling to remand them into custody.
Based on the ruling, 16 of the terrorist suspects will continue to remain in prison for another two months, five of them to remain under house arrest, while seven others must appear at the police station.
The defendants are accused of organization and participation in terrorist groups, incitement of racial and religious hate, recruitment for purposes of terrorism and unlawful possession of weapons.
Through electronic messages and other forms, defendants have also called on people to travel to Syria in order to fight alongside terrorist groups. According to the Court of Appeal, the defendants present e flight danger if the ruling of the Court of First Instance is quashed. /ibna/
