FYROM’s minister of Defense, Zoran Jolevski said that his country sees its future as part of NATO and that it’s ready to assume all responsibilities as a member of the Alliance. Jolevski said this today in the meeting of defense ministers of the NATO’s Joint Action Incentive in the framework of the Cardiff Summit, informs the Defense Ministry in Skopje.
“As a country, we will continue to share NATO values and we’re entirely committed in further developing cooperation and joint action capacities for future peace missions led by NATO”, said Jolevski.
According to him, the Macedonian army has certified units for NATO led missions on a medium infantry battalion level and mobile hospitals.
Before the start of the summit, a reception was hosted for the defense and foreign ministers of all countries of the partnership and NATO members.
Before the opening of the meeting on Afghanistan, which saw the participation of the two ministers, Zoran Jolevski and Nikola Popovski, a ceremony was held to honor the contribution and sacrifices of soldiers in Afghanistan, where FYROM was presented with captain Aleksandar Gavrilov. /ibna/
