Center Commune in Skopje has ordered the suspension of all works in the central part of the capital as part of the Skopje 2014 project.
Although there were plans for the installment of several new monuments, which changed the appearance of the capital center, the head of the Center commune, Andrej Zernovski has blocked the works.
Zernovski’s decision has been delivered to the communal council and based on this decision, there will not be any new constructions until April 2016.
The “Skopje 2014” project of the construction of monuments and state buildings in the baroque style, continues to be a topic of debate and subject to criticism due to the large expenses amounting to 500 million euros. /ibna/
