Constitutional Court in FYROM has dismissed today the motion filed by the Left Party and Macedonian World Congress for the annulment of the referendum on the name.
With 7 votes in favour and 2 votes against, judges deemed the decision to hold the referendum as constitutional. Judge Osman Kadriu said that the decision to hold the referendum is legitimate, because it has been voted by a majority of MPs.
But, those judges which requested the annulment of the referendum said that the question that voters are asked and the form of the referendum are unconstitutional. Judge Elena Goseva said that the Prespa Agreement is not valid because Foreign minister Nikola Dimitrov did not have legal powers to sign it. /ibna/
