The Constitutional Court in FYROM decided today to evaluate whether the decision for the dissolution of Parliament on 23 February was constitutional or not.

Besides this, all electoral activities have been suspended, as according to the electoral deadlines, Monday marked the start of the electoral campaign for the June 5 early elections. VMRO-DPMNE is the only party that decided to participate in these elections, while all other parties boycotted them.

The decision of the Constitutional Court has immediate effect.

Next week, the court will decide on whether to annul or not the June 5 elections. The request was filed in this court by BDI’s MP, Talat Xhaferi, who asked the court to evaluate and annul the decision for the dissolution of parliament taken on 23 February. In case the Constitutional Court annuls the decision for the dissolution of parliament, then parliament will convene again and a new date for the elections will be decided through compromise between all political parliamentary parties. /balkaneu.com/
