Talks for the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia were part of the conference organized today by Birn and Interviews Kosova.
This activity also saw the publication of the latest report called “Big Deal” on the progress of the implementation of agreements between Pristina and Belgrade.
The report analyzes the implementation of the main agreements following the December judgment of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo on the general principles of the Association of Serb Communes.
The author of this report, the German expert, Bodo Weber said that the judgment of the Constitutional Court on the Association of Serb Communes is confusing in itself.
“The judgment remains confusing. By following a middle path, the Constitutional Court caused much confusion in the process of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia”, said Weber.
Meanwhile, the EU ambassador, Samuel Zbogar, who was present in the conference, said that Kosovo must change the way it holds dialogue with Serbia.
“I think that Kosovo cannot proceed with dialogue the same way as it has done so far. The role of parliament in this process must be strengthened. Serbs of Kosovo are scared of integration, unless the Association is created, while Albanians are scared of what the Association will bring”, Zbogar said.
Deputy minister of Local Government, Bajram Gecaj said that none of the sides in the talks and neither the European Union, which is a negotiator in this process, cannot ignore the judgment of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo on the Association of Serb Communes. /balkaneu.com/
