EU Enlargement Commissioner, Johannes Hahn is expected to visit Kosovo today.
According to the government’s statement, the meeting between commissioner Hahn and Prime Minister Haradinaj will be held around 5 pm.
Hahn’s visit takes place at a time when the US has been mounting pressure on Kosovo to scrap the tariffs introduced on goods coming from Serbia and Bosnia. The European Union has also insisted on this. Some days ago, commissioner Hahn said that he was expecting a reply from the government of Kosovo regarding the issue of the tax, but PM Haradinaj declared that nothing was changing. Kosovo’s Prime Minister insists that the tax will not be lifted until Serbia recognizes Kosovo. /ibna/
