The difficult situation that businesses in Kosovo go through, must alarm the government into improving the dynamic of the creation of a favorable business environment. This was the conclusion of a meeting held today between heads of Kosovo’s Chamber of Commerce, Safet Gerxhaliu and American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo, Arian Zeka.

The head of the two biggest business organizations in the country expressed their concern about the difficult position and not at all competitive that the domestic producers find themselves in. Besides preventing employment, such thing has caused a high trade deficit, by turning the country into a money exporter.

Judging by this, they called upon the Ministry of Finance to initiate as soon as possible the necessary legal changes in order to offer the necessary tax concessions, including tax reliefs for foreign or domestic investors that create new jobs.

The heads of these two institutions said that another important thing is to relieve a list of products from customs charges. /ibna/
