Central Bank in FYR Macedonia will react in case of economic instability in the country as a result of the political crisis. This was declared by the governor of the Central Bank in FYR Macedonia, Dimitar Bogov in the parliamentary committee for finances and the budget.
“We are closely following all the movements in economy in the recent months following the political situation in the country and we will take concrete measures to secure economic and banking stability”, Bogov said.
Bogov says that in June, the Central Bank will have accurate data and analyses as to whether the political crisis has had any effects in April and this month.
The head of the Central Bank says that the Central Bank will do what it needs to do to meet its targets.
“We are engaged to preserving the stability of prices, stability of the national currency compared to Euro and stability in the banking sector”, Bogov said.
According to him, the negative effect would be felt in the delay of investments by national and foreign companies, something which would not allow the creation of new jobs and increase of salaries. /ibna/
