Cavusoglu travels to Brussels to attend NATO Foreign and Defence Ministers’ Extraordinary Summit

NATO Secretary of State Jens Stoltenberg’s visit to Brussels and the subsequent extraordinary convening of NATO on Afghanistan has brought changes to the programme of the NATO Foreign and Defence Ministers.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, who was scheduled to meet today with his Greek counterpart Nikos Dendias in Ankara, is heading to Brussels to attend the Euro-Atlantic Alliance summit in person, according to a statement from the Turkish Foreign Ministry.

The State Department said in a statement that Foreign Minister Antony Blinken and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin will meet with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg, German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas, Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio, Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and United Kingdom Foreign Minister Dominic Raab in Brussels, Belgium./ibna
