Speaker of Parliament of Kosovo, Kadri Veseli had a meeting today with local producers to discuss possibilities for the stimulation of local resources in the domain of production and processing, stressing the fact that production is the only way through which Kosovo can create new jobs.
During this meeting, the speaker of parliament unveiled the economic agenda which will help in boosting production in Kosovo.
Among others, this agenda involves investments in human capital, in order for this capital to meet the market’s demands.
“Initially, we will set up an agency to improve the labor force in order for it to meet the needs of the labor market”, Veseli said.
Another aspect of this agenda is also the fund for the development of production. The meeting discussed the urgent measures which must be taken to offer reliefs on tax on profit.
“We must be competitive with the region. In this aspect, we must relieve producers and companies from tax on profit for a period of 10 years. At the same time, employees working in these enterprises must be relieved from tax on incomes”, Veseli said.
During this meeting, Veseli also said that free economic zones would be pointless if there are no stimulating conditions for producers or investors. /ibna/
