A monthly poll of the business climate in Bulgaria saw a slight decrease, by 0.5 percentage points, in November 2015 in comparison with October, a result of the more unfavourable business climate in construction, retail trade and service sector, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on November 27.
Executives’ opinions of the business climate in Bulgaria had improved slightly in October 2015 in comparison with September. The monthly business climate indicator had been 2.9 percentage points lower in September than in August.
In August 2015, the total business climate indicator in Bulgaria increased by 1.3 percentage points compared to July 2015. Bulgaria’s business climate indicator had dropped in July 2015, for the second straight month, after increases in the first five months of the year.
The NSI said that in November 2015, the composite indicator “business climate in industry” increased by 0.8 percentage points compared to October.
In November the composite indicator “business climate in construction” decreased by 1.6 percentage points.
In the retail trade, the composite indicator decreased by one percentage point in comparison with October.
