The Albanian minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati participated today in the meeting of the Foreign ministers of the countries of the Berlin Process, as part of the London Summit which will be dedicated to Western Balkans.
The topics that were discussed in this meeting had to do with the European perspective of Western Balkans, the growth of security and stability in the region, joint security challenges and the strengthening of the commitment of the countries of the region for democracy, rule of law, fight against corruption and organized crime.
In his address, minister Bushati pointed out that the strengthening of cooperation between the countries of the region and the EU on issues of security is a crucial point for the strengthening of regional security and also in addressing joint challenges.
According to minister Bushati, the Berlin Process has played a very important role in the cooperation that the countries of the region have shown.
Meanwhile, Foreign ministers of the Western Balkan countries and high representatives of the EU and UK, reconfirmed their support for the advancement of the region’s European perspective and also their commitment to turn Western Balkans into a secure region with many opportunities for economic prosperity. /ibna/
