Leader of the Bulgarian party VMRO-BND (VMRO- Bulgarsko Narodno Dvizenje) Krasimir Karakacanov said today that “citizens of Macedonia will also have their MP in the European Parliament”.
According to him, the citizens of the country, who feel Bulgarian, voted on Sunday in the Bulgarian diplomatic center in Skopje.
“Out of 1200 voters, more than 900 of them voted for our MEP candidate, Angel Dzambaski. With these votes, he secured his seat in the European Parliament. He will represent all the citizens of Macedonia who feel Bulgarian”, said Karakacanov.
Dzambaski MEP has promised the opening of his offices in Skopje, Ohrid and other cities.
VMRO-BND and its leader have often been undesirable in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. The activities of this subject have also been hindered by state authorities. According to the argument given by Skopje’s authorities, Karakacanov and his party deform history and have territorial claims in the country. /ibna/
