Bulgarian PM wants Varna ‘leaders’ meeting to go ahead

The forthcoming meeting between EU and Turkish leaders in Varna is necessary for the normalisation of relations between the EU and Ankara, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said at a March 22 meeting in Brussels with European Council President Donald Tusk.

The planned March 26 meeting is envisaged to see Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan come to the Bulgarian Black Sea city to meet EU leaders, including Tusk and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker.
