With 98.93% of the votes counted by the “Information Service” Company, six parties appear to be over the entry threshold to make it to the 45th Bulgarian National Assembly.
The GERB/SDS coalition leads the race with 26.1%, followed by the party “There Is Such A People” with 17.7%, the coalition of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) with 15%, the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) with 10.3%, the Democratic Bulgaria with 9.5% and the “Stand Up.BG” formation with 4.7%.
At 3.7%, Former Deputy Prime Minister Boyko Borissov’s and Defense Minister Krasimir Karakachanov’s VMRO party failed to reach the 4% threshold to enter Parliament and was left out of the National Assembly.
47,479 people wrote on their ballots that they support no one. The party “There Is Such A People” garners 30.8% of the Diaspora votes followed by “Democratic Bulgaria” with 17.6%, the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) with 13.2%, GERB with 8, 7% and the BSP with 7%.
In Turkey, about 26 thousand people casted their votes, 5 thousand less compared to the 2017 elections.
4 years ago, GERB won the elections abroad with 24.6%.
Electoral Commission spokeswoman Tanja Tsaneva, when asked if the deadline for the final results would be met, said: “According to the Electoral Code, the deadline is four days after election day and seven days for the announcement of the future MPs. We are currently working on the protocols. We hope to receive all the protocols from all over the country today.” /ibna
