Resolved to proceed to closing their borders if Germany or other countries do the same, to prevent the entry of refugees into their territories, appear Bulgaria, Serbia and Romania.

They warn that they will not allow the Balkan region to become a neutral zone for trapped immigrants.

The Prime Minister of Bulgaria Boyko Borisov announced the decision after meeting with his counterparts from Serbia and Romania in Sofia, in view of the planned mini-EU summit on the refugee crisis that will take place on Sunday.

“The three countries, we are ready, if Germany and Austria close their borders, not allow to convert our countries into neutral zones. We will be ready to close our borders”, Borisov told reporters.

The European Commission president, Jean-Claude Juncker, convened an extraordinary mini Summit bringing together European leaders to address the refugee crisis in the Western Balkans, where thousands of refugees and migrants who seek to reach Germany have been trapped in extreme conditions.

The objective of the mini-summit will be to find “common operational measures that could be directly applied”.

Refugees and immigrants have catalyze the streets in the western Balkans countries in bad weather, after the closure of the Hungarian border with Serbia and Croatia, which has caused a chain reaction in other countries facing refugee flows.
