President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci has travelled to Brussels where he will meet with the EU head of diplomacy, Federica Mogherini.
Thaci will also be received by the president of the European Parliament, Martin Schulz and other representatives of the European Union.
The meetings with European senior officials follow the decision of the parliament of Kosovo to approve the extension of EULEX’s mission and come in the framework of a normal visit to Brussels after entering his office as president.
Officials from the President’s office say that president Thaci will stress Kosovo’s commitment in the path of Euro Atlantic integration and its role as “a factor of stability and good neighboring in the region”.
President Thaci will also demand from European senior officials “to accelerate the process of the lifting of the visa regime for the citizens of Kosovo”. /balkaneu.com/
