Brussels Approves EUR 166M for Slovenian Railway Project

 

The European Commission approved EUR 166m worth of cohesion funding for an upgrade of a key railway line in Slovenia on Wednesday.

The EUR 330m project involves the reconstruction, electrification and upgrading of a section of 160 km/h on the railway line between the Pragersko junction and the Hodoš border crossing with Hungary, the modernisation of level crossings and the construction of subways at railway stations, according to a press release issued by the Commission.
