Skopje, October 28, 2013
Member of European Parliament on FYR Macedonia, Richard Howitt will stay on a three day visit to Skopje.
His visit follows the publication of the progress report by the European Commission, which recommended the opening of negotiations for accession, but which also launched criticism for domestic political developments and political deadlock.
Howitt has warned that during the visit in Skopje, he will hold meetings with important political and institutional actors in the country and representatives of the civil sector and associations of journalists.
British MEP declared immediately after the publication of the report that in case FYROM continues with its state of status quo, then there will be problems for the country.
He has expressed this concern when he was asked as to what is expected of the European Council in the December meeting. /ibna/
