“Tetovo 2014” traditional book fair opened in Tetovo, with the participation of publishing homes from FYROM and the region. The fair was opened by the state secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Behiduxin Sehapi and mayor of Tetovo, Teuta Arifi.
The head of the Association of Albanian Publishers in FYROM, Qamil Rufati, said that this fair contains thousands of titles from publishing houses, and a part of them are new titles and bestsellers. “We are expecting to receive book lovers in order for them to have the opportunity to choose among different titles. This fair has a 14 year old tradition and every year, this cultural event is becoming richer and richer”, said Rufati. A large number of books come from FYROM, Albania and Kosovo, but also, other countries of the region.
Mayor of Tetovo, Teuta Arifi said that the commune supports this cultural event.
“By working together, we can further promote reading, books and knowledge, which change our mind and spirit. It’s time for altogether to lift the level of cultural activities”, said Teuta Arifi.
