A powerful blast has taken place last night in Tetovo, near the seat of the party in power BDI (Democratic Union for Integration).

Ministry of Interior declared that the blast took place last night around 9:50 pm, when unknown persons have blown away the gate of the party headquarter.

The Ministry of Interior said that there were no victims or wounded, but only material damages. Present at the moment of the blast in the headquarter of the party was only the guard, but he was in the interior of the party’s headquarters.

Eye witnesses said that two people on a motorbike have thrown the bomb near the building and then left.

BDI has not commented this attack, saying that it will react once police inquiry concludes.

BDI is the Albanian party created after the 2001 conflict and it came out from the ranks of the former National Liberation Army, which even today is led by the former political leader of this military formation, Ali Ahmeti. From 2002, BDI is part of the government and today it continues to be in a governing coalition with VMRO-DPMNE of PM Nikola Gruevski. /ibna/
