The natural gas that will be extracted from the Black Sea will be transported to shore through a pipeline that will be, probably, constructed by a consortium of companies, connected to a terminal that will be built on a land that belongs to state company Oil Terminal, announced the delegate minister for Energy, Constantin Nita, quoted by Mediafax. “I do not want to lose this opportunity for Romania, we must consider everything,” Nita said yesterday. He added that he asked the National Agency for Mineral Resources to conceive a law that will regulate the exploration, extraction and transport of gas from offshore perimeters. Several hydrocarbon exploration perimeters were granted under concession in the Black Sea these years.
OMV Petrom and Exxon (USA) recently announced that they made a significant gas find in the Black Sea.
