Kosovo Center for Security Studies (KSCC) has published today the report dubbed “Berlin Process-path toward the EU or path to nowhere?” This publication answers a number of questions in relation to the process of the integration of Kosovo, dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia and Kosovo’s position after the building of relations between Serbia and Kosovo.
This report says that the Berlin Process’ aim is to guarantee regional development and cooperation and it foresees the future accession of Western Balkans in the European Union (EU).
“As a process initiated by the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel in 2014, the process also includes the solution of bilateral contests and other pending issues that mainly stem from border demarcations”, the report says.
“The Berlin process pays a lot of attention Albanian and Serb leaders, while it doesn’t have a clear objective in terms of solving pending obstacles in relation to Kosovo’s subjectivity, the lack of functionality of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the political gridlock in Macedonia”, the report says. /balkaneu.com/
