US ambassador to the OSCE, Daniel Baer said that Kosovo must be involved in the discussions taking place in this institution.
“Permanent Council of OSCE must not only talk about Kosovo, but the latter must also participate. Kosovo is part of Europe and it should play an important role in the institutions engaged for peace and progress of the continent”, said Baer.
In his speech at the Permanent Council of OSCE, where Foreign Minister, Ivica Dacic, presented the priorities of the Serb chairmanship, said that although there exists a big crisis in Ukraine, OSCE will have many challenges in 2015.
“OSCE plays a key role in supporting Brussels dialogue (Belgrade-Pristina). We are expecting this process to continue. United States must do everything to secure progress in Vienna. We hail the steps that have been taken to invite authorities of Kosovo in regional incentives, but also the constructive relations between Belgrade and Pristina”, said he.
While presenting the OSCE priorities during the Serb chairmanship, Foreign Minister Dacic said that Serbia doesn’t accept Kosovo’s accession in this European institution.
“When it comes to OSCE, decisions are consensual. We all know how difficult it is to have consensus”, said Dacic on Thursday. /ibna/
