The way in which DImitris Avramopoulos theoretically ended the possibility to be proposed by SYRIZA for President of the Republic causes irritation in New Democracy.
The way in which the Commissioner of Immigration, Home Affairs and Citizenship Dimitris Avramopoulos theoretically put an end to the discussion of the possibility to be proposed by SYRIZA for President of the Republic, did not sit well with Maximus Mansion.
Although Avramopoulos, after his meeting with Antonis Samaras on Monday afternoon, spoke of “rumors that do not need to be commented on”, his phrase “there has never been such an issue”, in Maximus they believe that it is far from the firm denial that would have been expected by Antonis Samaras and his staff.
In ND they argue that if Avramopoulos wanted to close “once and for all” the discussion and scenarios, he would have stated categorically that if a proposal from SYRIZA came, he would not accept.
A few hours earlier, Dimitris Stamatis, when asked on the “flirt” between SYRIZA and Dimitris Avramopoulos had appeared certain that this scenario is published for communication purposes, reminding full of meaning that Avramopoulos is deputy president of the New Democracy.
