This morning, police in Kosovo have launched an operation for the arrest of opposition MPs who used teargas in the premises of the parliament of Kosovo on Tuesday.

This operation is taking place upon the warrant issued by the Court of First Instance in Pristina for the arrest of Albin Kurti, Albulena Haxhiu, Donika Kadaj-Bujupi and Faton Topalli.

So far, authorities have managed to arrest only the AAK lawmaker, Donika Kadaj-Bujupi, while the three Self Determination MPs have not yet been found by police, which have raided their homes.

Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) declared today that today’s arrest of their MP has been ordered by police.

AAK calls on police and judiciary institutions not to turn instruments in the hands of the government by obeying the political orders of institutional criminals: PM Isa Mustafa, his deputy Hashim Thaci and speaker of parliament, Kadri Veseli.

“AAK and the opposition are determined not to allow the voting of the two agreements: Association and Demarcation, in spite of the pressure exerted by this corrupt and criminal government, which is entirely at the service of the state’s interests, by threatening constitutional order and territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosovo”, the reaction says.

This opposition party demands the immediate release of its MP, Donika Kadaj!

These arrests follow the latest developments in the parliament of Kosovo where opposition parties have let off teargas in parliament in an effort to abrogate the agreements with Serbia, considered as damaging for the territorial integrity of Kosovo by the opposition. /ibna/
