The public prosecutor’s office in North Macedonia has launched a probe into the deadly accident taken place two days ago, which claimed the lives of 14 people. According to investigators, the driver of the bus, Manoil Trifunovski has not provided any relevant details on this accident, while it’s been confirmed that he had consumed no alcohol and had taken no medications which could have affected his state. On the other hand, a technical inspection has also taken place on the bus.
The country’s prime minister, Zoran Zaev said that all measures have been taken to find out the causes of this tragic accident. “I think that the driver is the right person who could provide relevant information, but the wounded too. As soon as they recover, they will be asked to provide more details on this tragic event”, Zaev said.
On Tuesday evening, a passenger bus veered off the road in the highway west of the capital, Skopje, claiming the lives of 14 people and wounding many others. /ibna/
