Authorities in Kosovo have arrested MP Milaim Zeka and have placed him under custody. Spokesman of the State Prosecution, Ekrem Luftiu, declared that Zeka is accused of participating in organized crime activities and evading tax.
“Milaim Zeka has been arrested participating in a criminal group and for avoiding tax. Zeka is suspected of being part of a ring which promised many people that it would supply them with German work visas”, Luftiu said.
Meanwhile, Zeka’s arrest came after the publication of several investigative reports by Insider, a web portal, showing how Zeka was involved in a fraudulent scheme which targeted over 900 citizens of Kosovo, who were promised work visas to Germany.
According to the site, people have paid from 50 to 3500 euros for a work visa. /balkaneu.com/
