The new government in FYROM will set up the fiscal commission, a body of experts which analyze and audit the way budget funds are collected and spent.
The role of this commission may only be advisory, but it could also have the right of veto during the approval of the budget.
Minister of Finance, Dragan Tevdovski says that the commission is part of the strategy for a better management of the debt and taxpayers’ money.
“The drafting of the budget must start much earlier and there must be more instruments available to control the system. One of these instruments will be the fiscal commission”, said minister Tevdovski.
The fiscal commission is a model which is practiced in the EU member countries and according to the government, this body will be set up until 2019. /balkaneu.com/
