Anarchists who targeted the police -and not the Turkish consulate- claimed responsibility for the arsonist attack on December the 20th outside the Turkish consulate of Thessaloniki.
That night young men threw Molotov cocktails and other improvised bombs in the area, causing damages but not injuries. Police investigated whether it was a nationalistic militant group or extreme leftists. Finally (yesterday) there was a manifesto that made it clear it was an attack against the police. Two days before this incident, another similar one took place (Molotov cocktails in the same area), but according to the manifesto the ones who threw those bombs were also anarchists aiming also at the police.
