One of the best resorts in the Mediterranean, luxurious Asteras beach in the area of Kavouri peninsula, in Athens, might be sold even today according to sources. The resort is under privatization and it was decided to be sold to the  Arab company  “Jermyn Street Real Estate” since 2013, but the buyers proposed a construction plan that was not approved, as it would alter the natural environment – the buyers wanted to build at the site another 100 small houses.

Mr Stelios Pitsiorlas, manager of the TAIPED  (or HRADF, for Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund)said that the new negotiations with the investors are almost completed and Jermyn Street Real Estate will submit a different   plan in order no to violate the natural environment or the legally accepted  land use of the area. The area and the hotels and the facilities in there, will be sold probably for 400 mln euro.
