EU chief of diplomacy, Catherine Ashton said that it had been a privilege for her to broker the process of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.
During the farewell meeting with the prime minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, Ashton has demanded for talks between the two countries to resume as soon as possible.
“We know that this is a challenging period for Kosovo, given that efforts are being made to form the government. We wish the best for all of those who have been involved in this process. In spite of what will happen, we hope that dialogue will continue and resume as soon as possible. Much has been achieved, but there’s still much to be achieved. For me, it was a privilege to play a small role in this process”, declared Ashton.
Baroness Ashton has thanked prime minister Thaci for his leadership manifested with the agreement reached between Pristina and Belgrade.
“Premier Thaci, I’m very happy that you made it in this journey to Brussels, in which, you and I thought about the past and talked about the future. I’d like to thank you for your leadership manifested with the agreement between Pristina and Belgrade”, said Ashton.
Meanwhile, PM Hashim Thaci has secured Baroness Catherine Ashton that Kosovo will continue the process of talks. /ibna/
