Ministry of Interior in FYROM has arrested today business people and former senior officials of the Ministry of Defence, involved in criminal activities and abuses with the budget amounting to 2,5 million Euros.
The operation name coded “Arsenal” led to the arrest of nine people and among them were two former MPs from LSDM, Vanco Georgiev, known as the owner of “Delikates” company and Nelko Menkinoski, former official of the Ministry of Defence.
Another arrested person was Dushan Nikolovski, former director of “Suvenir Samokov” company.
The Ministry of Interior said that from 2004 until 2009, through their companies, they have exploited the services of the army and this way, they have managed to abuse with 2.5 million Euros. The army funds were paid to the Ukranian company for the maintenance of military vehicles, while after this, a part of them was transferred to FYROM and the money was withdrawn by suspicious people. The suspicious group had founded the “Drvomak” company in Bulgaria and “KL Technoservices LTD” in the UK. /ibna/
